There are some elite all-star teams in Wisconsin that are not tied to an individual youth baseball league. They take kids from around the state and travel to play in some higher quality tournaments. Here are some that I have found;
As the coach of the ThunderJAXX traveling organization, our goal is to heighten the level of baseball played in Wisconsin by traveling outside of our players "comfort zones" and having them play against higher level competition. If they want to play college or professional ball, they will be competing with guys outside of the 50 mile radius that they are used to playing against.
And don't forget the Wausau Sluggers, they are an independent group of kids that play in 9 tournaments throughout the state and have won the majority of those. They also played up a level last year and placed 2nd place in both of them. Thank you!!
I haven't been able to find a website for the Wausau Sluggers. If you can tell me where to find them I would be more than happy to put them on the list.
We have just moved to Madison from out of state and have a 13 year old and an almost 11 year old that have played on competitive teams in some southern states and are serious players that want to play for years to come. We are looking for a travel team for them in the Madison area. Can you please make a recommendation? Thanks so much!! :) Sharon
